Sen. Harry Reid and Rep. Nancy Pelosi have both said they would not allow a vote to come to the floor on drilling in the U.S. for oil. However, there is a story this afternoon that Dick Durbin may support it.

Iran has resumed its nuclear weapons program.

The issue is when either the U.S. or Israel attacks Iran's nuclear weapons producing facilities.

What is "aggressive diplomacy?" That is what Barrack (NO)Bama wants the U.S. to use to stop Iranian nukes.

Speaking of Obama, he doesn't seem to have a problem with the bi-lingual direction of the U.S. population. A nation that is divided by it's language is not a unified nation. Obama says Americans should just learn Spanish.

Chris Matthews of MSNBC Tuesday night was touting this story from the Iraqi government stating that a timetable is wanted for U.S. troop removal. This is an important issue because republicans say we can't leave until the violence is resolved and democrats want to just cut-and-run which is a timetable. No matter what the Iraqi government says, we cannot allow the terrorists to regain a footing there. However, Obama and the liberal media will run with this story.

A good friend of mine who hosts a statewide show in Tennessee has written his take on Rush's new $400 million contract. The liberals are going crazy about it and whether Rush is actually worth it. Does conservatism pay and liberalism on radio not pay? That is a fair question that Steve Gill answers this morning.

Tonight at 7:35pm ET on http://www.woai.com/ , I'll be talking with nuclear weapons expert Lee Boyland regarding the Iranian nuke situation. Lee has predicted for a while that the U.S. might take action against Iran before the end of the Bush adminstration. A number of stories posted above show a growing concern as Iran continues the program. You can read more of Lee's writings including his two books based on his military experience.

Here is Lee's newest article now posted at:

Meanwhile, I'm still getting mentions at a blog from Columbus, GA even though I've been gone there since 2001. I guess in 16 years on the radio there (1985-2001) there were a few "enemies" made. Especially at the Columbus Leftist-Enquirer. I guess I did used to call Kaffie Sledge "Kaffie Sludge." Oh well, another of the dinosaurs is retiring and of course, I give them my best. I tried hard to get may of them,. Billy Wynn-BAG, (very) Dusty Nix, Mike (can't remember his name so he must not have been important) to retire earlier. You can read here the comments from the "official" Columbus, GA blogger:

BLOG EXCLUSIVE: Your blog has been told one of the best-known names at the Columbus Ledger-Enquirer will leave the newspaper's staff this week. Kaffie Sledge's last day apparently will be Friday -- so please, can we all get along at Thunder on the Hooch?
Perhaps without even trying, Kaffie Sledge has become one of the most divisive people in Columbus. Some people agree with her columns in the Ledger-Enquirer. Other people can't stand them, and by extension can't stand her. I'm not sure anyone has arranged peace talks between Sledge and Doug Kellett yet.
Yet also perhaps without trying, Kaffie Sledge has become one of the most public voices for the African-American community in Columbus. Even though the Columbus Times is free, that doesn't mean a lot of Euro-American people drive south of Airport Thruway to pick one up.
Kaffie Sledge also has upset some people by taking liberal views on issues. A good number of Ledger-Enquirer readers want everyone on the paper to be just like them - and they somehow think Tim Chitwood and Brad Barnes actually are.

You can read his full blog daily at:

It is nice to be remembered!
