Ok..now we know where South Carolina's Governor Sanford went(to Argentina) and now we know why (For an Argentinian). In the strangest of news conferences, Governor Sanford admits his affair and says he has been working through this with his wife for the last five months.
At least his wife didn't stand beside him during this new conference. I have for years wondered why a lot of these women would put themselves through that.

WHAT AN OBUMMER

President Obama is living up to his "OBUMMER" status with his comments today about national healthcare. As reporters questioned the President today, any government run healthcare plan as an option would eliminate the benefit most employers provide employees with healthcare. In hopes of "fixing" inequities in the system, President Obama would be breaking what does work. He seemed irritated at the idea that the option would sick the employee health care benefit. After all, if there is a cheaper system out there with minimum (get by) coverage, why wouldn't employees drop current coverage with insurance companies and go with a government run plan. In other words, EVERYONE would end up on the government run health care plan(which is the idea any way) and that would be the minimal, worst coverage out there.

Best question of the morning from FNC's Garrett asking Obama why it took him this long to say something negative about Iran and the recent Iranian election. I think I also heard President Obama say that "free speech" and "freedom of assembly" are international norms. What? They are the exceptions. Those are two of the freedoms that makes America and its democratic friends unique.

Tell me there isn't something wrong with our public schools. 700 NYC teachers get paid for not working. How do you get one of those jobs? Apparently, be involved in questionable activity.

There is a story in Texas that has drawn the attention of ranchers and farmers. It appears legislation that would further limit a land owner's right to do with their land as they please under the disguise of a clean water restoration act of 2009. The important part of the change is removing the word "navigable" from the legislation. This basically puts every body of water, whether on private land or not, under the EPA. For years, I have hosted shows with guests pointing out that the government continues to infringe on private ownership rights. It will be worse under this administration.

President Obama spoke to the Hispanic prayer breakfast the other day and told the group that America is not a christian nation. Obama told a Middle Eastern audience recently that America is the largest muslim nation. Why would he say America is more of a muslim than christian nation? Because of his muslim roots which were considered off limits for us to discuss during the campaign but now makes he more able, according to his supporters, to handle radical islam. Obama's comments about the faith of America is incorrect according to the government's own figures which show that more than 80% of American's consider themselves christian compared to less than 1% claiming to be muslim.

CONSERVATISM IS NOT DEAD

Drudge is reporting this morning that ABC News is going to start anchoring their nightly newscast from the White House itself. Might as well since the entire national news media has become, as Rush says, an arm of the federal government. That same media keeps saying that the GOP is dead and is to tied to conservatism. In fact, the GOP has been losing elections because of the moderates controlling the party rather than conservatives. A new Gallup poll out today shows that almost half of all Americans call themselves conservatives. Therefore, conservatism is NOT out dated.

Every so often I''ll get a call from some leftist thanking me and people like me for "kiling the republican party" with my conservative beliefs. 7:05am Matt Burke...legal scholar and involved in conservative politics...will join me to discuss several issues including the Sonia Sotomayor nomination to the U.S. Supreme court. Here are some of our talking points:

1. The Senate has moved her confirmation to July, which is not necessary. The Supreme Court is out of session from July 1- First Monday in October, so no work will be missed. I think there are a couple of reasons for this; first, they do not want any more troubling information to come out; second, this summer will also be filled with challenging votes and debate on cap and trade and health care, not to mention the budget, which may include tax increases. This might be a big distraction to cover everything else.

2. It will be interesting to see how the Supreme Court rules on the Ricci case. I expect it to be a split decision, so it will be interesting to read the decision of the side that disagreed with her ruling, whether it is the majority or dissent. Justice Thomas is usually the author of EEO decisions, given his experience there, so expect his to write either the majority or the dissent. What will be interesting is if Scalia or Alito write their own separate decision that criticizes Soto. The justices will never publicly criticize a nominee, but they can attack her legal reasoning, and this would be a wonderful way to do so.

3. President Obama's administration is considering giving miranda rights to terrorists.

President signs Automobile Replacement Act of 2010

The president signed the Automobile Replacement Act in a ceremony held in the Rose Garden at 2 p.m. today. After signing, the president, flanked by the Speakers of the House and the Senate Majority Leader, declared it was a momentous day for America, a day that marks the recovery of the domestic auto industry.

Conservatives were upset by a few provisions of the bill, which include: new mileage standards for combustion engines; mandatory purchase of one new, high mileage, environmentally friendly automobile by every household by July 4th; mandatory replacement of all existing automobiles with new, high mileage, environmentally friendly models within five years; and prohibits the sale of new internal combustion engine powered vehicles after 2014. Additionally, the act requires the following by the end of 2013: metered electrical recharging terminals in all public and private parking lots, existing service stations, and interstate rest areas; modification of street parking meters to incorporate battery charging connections; and requires all recharging terminals to accept the new Obama $5, $10, and $20 coins that will be issued by the Treasury in 2012.

U. S. Motors (USM), formed by the merger of General Motors and Chrysler-Fiat, is producing three vehicles models that meet the new EPA mileage standards of 50 mpg city and 65 mpg highway. The president said those complaining about the 25 horse power engine and cramped seating are un-American and should be ashamed of themselves. There is some validity to the complaints that only children younger than six years can fit into the rear seating area, and that the shoulders of occupants in the front seat touch. Other oft repeated complaints are that the front passenger’s knees touch the dashboard, and the 2 cubic foot trunk does not provide adequate space to transport groceries or luggage. USM does provide, as options, a roof rack and a small trailer to provide additional carrying capacity. These three models will be replaced by the all-electric vehicles by 2013.

On the positive side, the size of the new USM automobiles allows for two of the new vehicles to be parked in the same space that was required for an older, larger vehicle, a Ford Focus for example. Ford, which has yet to develop an automobile that meets the new standard, may be in trouble. A Ford spokesperson said the company does not have the $99 billion necessary to develop such a vehicle. All foreign manufactures have made similar statements. This means that USM will be the only automobile manufacturer able to sell its vehicles in the U.S.

When asked about service and dealerships, White House Press Secretary Jim Joker squinted and replied, “USM automobiles would be sold online. One dealership is being established in the capitol city of each state.” Joker hastened to add that the low maintenance of the new USM automobiles would all but eliminate the need for service. Consumer Evaluator questioned his statement since none of the vehicles has entered service.

Joker laughed at a reporter who asked how the president thought the average family could afford one of the new USM vehicles that have a base price of $65,000—especially since the average family would have to purchase two of the new vehicles to replace one of their current ones. Joker replied that the American people were willing to make sacrifices to save the planet from global warming. Another reporter noted that consumers in China were buying Hummers, and those in India were buying Range Rovers. Joker replied that vindicated the new law. It was up to America to make up for the emissions of others.

The Fox reporter asked about the high base price of the new USM cars. She mentioned that when the law was being proposed, we were told that the new green vehicles would only cost $1,300 more to produce. Joker sneered and replied, “That estimate was based upon figures when the auto manufactures were making all of their profits selling trucks, SUVs and large cars. The lost profit had to be added to the new green vehicles, which will be completely assembled by union workers with no robots. The new prices will allow USM to break even.”

When the AP reporter asked if USM planned to offer any color besides green, Joker shook his head and replied, “Why would anyone want a different color?” and then departed.

Tree Hugger 200 The intermediate model, with a 22 HP hybrid engine and additional pollution control equipment. This model has no back seat, and a 1 cubic foot trunk. Color: Bile Green. Price $75,000.

Planet Saver 300 Top of the line model, with a 20 HP hybrid engine and maximum pollution control equipment. This model has no trunk space and will only seat the driver. Color: chartreuse. Price is $85,000.

The vice president provided additional clarification when he said the new vehicles would bring families closer together. When questioned about his meaning, he replied, “A family that walks together stays together.” The VP also noted that concerns voiced by the hotel industry were based upon a misunderstanding of the law. Electrical vehicles would have a range of 100 miles on a charge, and require six hours to recharge. Travelers would only be able to drive between 100 to 300 miles per day, thus boosting room rentals. Other service industries would also reap profits by providing services to travelers waiting for their vehicle to be recharged.

A Ford executive, who wishes to remain anonymous, sees some problems in USM’s plans to have its new vehicles delivered by UPS. He noted that: “Green” packaging remains a contentious problem; that production has not begun on any of the new models; and that UPS has not yet finalized its delivery contract. A USM spokesperson said the company remains confident it can ship 50,000,000 automobiles by the Fourth of July.

The president, who is also the CEO of USM, dismissed the problems, stating that he planed to appoint a production czar, and shipping czar in the next thirty days.
Wall Street was impressed: share price of USincreased $1.00 from its previous $0.05 closing price.

Thursday's Daily Briefing

As mentioned earlier, Obamunism is moving toward controlling executive pay in major corporations and even those that have taken no taxpayer money. A major intrustion into the free market that many Americans seem unaware or do not care. The dislike for much of corporate America lead some to conclude it is fine for the government to dictate terms. This is a get-even approach that appeals to some.

Shephard Smith of the Fox News called those of us concerned about Obama's birth certificate and eligibility to be President "crazies." So, Obama's grandmother and sister are in that category too since they are on record as saying Obama was born in Kenya. If he was born in Kenya, he would ineligible under the "natural born" clause of the U.S. Constitution. Perhaps, Shep ought to do a little research on the issue rather than call good Americans who want to see our core document followed "crazies."

CZARs and OBAMUNISM

13 Czars in this White House and counting...now the administration is advocating involving itself into corporations and the pay structure of those businesses who DID NOT take taxpayer money. This is a radical approach by an overreaching government led by President Obama. The so-called "pay czar" is to oversee private business? Where did we allow this train to get off the track? Especially at a time when we are very close to double-digit unemployment for the first time since the Jimmy Carter years. The unemployment rate is currently 9.4%.
So, Obamunism is off-and-running.

Meanwhile, Newt Gingrich is the only conservative republican who is articulating the ideas needed for this nation. No other republican is even close and it is unclear whether Newt will run in 2012. I know that you are going to tell me that Newt has too much baggage but it is his ideas that matter. Do we believe that Newt's negatives are higher than Hillary Clinton's? OBAMA is America's First Muslim President

What was missing from the media discussion last week about Obama's muslim roots is that, in essence, America has its first muslim President. One who called those who brought this up during the campaign "GOP fear mongers." Now, he wants to say he is better equipped to handle the Middle East and the war on terrorrism (that his administration has said is over) because of these muslim connections. CBS' Evening News with Katie Couric has the lowest ratings ever recorded by the Nielson company. 5,180,000 viewers. A distant third place. However, MSNBC would love to have even those ratings!

Dems are rushing to set up the Judge Sonia Sotomayor hearings because the longer before the hearings, the more the American people are going to catch up with Sotomayor's racist past. Not only was the good judge a member of La Raza (which means "The Race) which pushes for illegal immigration in the United States and calls for the USA to return the Southwest to Mexico, she has been making her racist comments against white males in speeches since 1994. Demos know that the longer the period before the hearing, the more likely Sotomayor will not be approved by the U.S. Senate. Even some democrats are getting nervous over this one.

FDR's 6 minute Prayer broadcast on D-Day June 6, 1944

President Franklin Roosevelt once called the struggle in World War 2 the struggle for our "Christian way of life." Like many President's before him, President Roosevelt believed that God was not asleep to what was happening on Earth, and that the prayers of Americans could move him to help. Would the ACLU or the secular left complain about our President calling on God for help if this event were in 2009 and not 1944? President Bush was often criticized for saying he prayed for guidance before sending our men and women into Iraq. Despite what the anti-religious left is trying to do in removing God from our daily discussion, our history is filled with specific events where leaders prayed--and recieved positive answers-- on behalf of what became and what is the United States of America.

On this 65th anniversary of the Allied invasion of Europe, it is fitting to remind ourselves that FDR called on Americans to pray for victory.

Now for the news,

President Obama spoke the phrase "Holy Koran" twice and "Holy Bible" once during his Middle East speech in Cairo. President Obama did something he would not confirm nor allow his opponents to discuss during the campaign, and that is his muslim roots. Now, Obama supporters--including a Newsweek reporter who said Obama is "like a God"--say his background makes him the most unique person to solve the greatest issue of our time. Newsweek Reporter Evan Thomas is the one who made the statement "Obama is like a God." Never in all the years I have followed current events have I heard such statements thrown around about a mere human being. OBAMUNISM

The President speaking this morning in Egypt didn't disappoint us who believed he would be apologizing for America's involvement in the middle east. Why could we not have a President who goes to the ME to explain recent help to those in need in that region?

1. America liberated millions from a tyrannical regime in Iraq (not a war of choice as President Obama said this morning).

2. America liberated Kuwait (islamic country) from Sadaam Hussein and protected Saudi Arabia at their request. (Not that we focus on the Middle East for oil as President Obama said this morning).

3. America armed the freedom fighters in Afghanistan against the Soviet invaders.

4. America stepped in the situation in Bosnia on behalf of muslims who were being slaughtered by opposing ethic groups in the region.

The President misses an opportunity to properly protect the ideas of America around the world when he suggests that we are breaking the golden rule(as he said). Personally, I do not believe President Obama holds the traditional ideals of the United States. Otherwise, he would not consistently talk about "remaking America." Why does America need to remade?

President Obama will be speaking Thursday in an address to the muslim nations. A day after saying that the U.S. is a large muslim nation. Can you imagine what reaction the mainstream media would have had if President Bush had said this is a Christian nation? During the campaign, any reference to Obama's muslim roots was considered to be defamatory and a political attack of fear. Now, after saying during the campaign it was a GOP fear tactic, Obama's administration and the lap dogs in the media are saying his muslim roots makes him the right President at the right time.....Former President Bush and VP Dick Cheney are getting a jump in approval rating (according to CNN)..up to 41% from 35% when they left office. Both are out front defending administration policy on American security. Why didn't they make such a strong effort while in office? I'm glad they are not letting the democrats, like Rep. Nancy Pelosi, rewrite history on this one....

ABC News probes Barack Obama's muslim roots as he visits Saudi Arabia. This is a topic that the mainstream media refused to discuss or report during the campaign last yaer.

A Reuters story this morning discusses the tense relationship between Israel and the US under the Obama administration. Obama's comments yesterday that Iran has a right to nuclear power didn't help any I'm sure.

Fox News is reporting that Air France had a bomb threat before the flight 447 crash. We'll be discussing this story this morning.

Another story quotes a Continental Pilot flying a route over Texas who has reported to the FAA that he saw a "missle or rocket" fly 150 feet under the plane on a recent flight.

President Obama's LATEST apology tour and other issues

President Obama is on his second "apology" tour since being sworn in as President. Another trip to Europe to tell the Europeans about how we cannot force our values on them. Since when have been doing that? They kind of liked our values in two different World Wars that liberated western Europe. Don't forget the following cold war that liberated those behind the iron curtain under the control of the then Soviet Union. Why do liberals feel the need to apologize to the rest of the world for America? Reminded me the the quote that Rush played on his show today(Tuesday) from May 18, 2008 from Obama. The one where he talked about us setting our thermostats at 72 degrees year 'round and using 25% of the world's resources while having only 3% of the world's population. That one still steams me because it infers that we are taking something away from the rest of the world. We create 90% of the health, wealth, and protection of the free world and our President sees the need to chastise us for it. President Obama's mission is to bring this country down to the level of the rest of the world and not elevate the rest of the world to America.

Today, President Obama said it is ok for Iran to become a nuclear power because they need the energy. Excuse me? Iran sits on a large share of the earth's oil and natural gas resources. The only reason Iran is moving toward nuclear power plants is to provide their nuclear weapons program with the necessary bi-product.

Other news of the day that is driving me crazy:

Demos want to tax your health care benefits. It isn't enough to tax us what we are being taxed but now the demos--who say they want to improve the health care situation in America--want to tax you to transfer that money to the uninsured.
